Plan Your Vacation

Planning a timeshare vacation is different—and easier—than planning any other vacation for a few simple reasons. You know what you are getting so there is no stress from the uncertainty of finding the right accommodations or area. You also get all the comforts of home—more bedroom space, a full-service kitchen, laundry facilities, and other home-like amenities—but with the luxury of a resort and space for each traveler to relax.

These questions will help you get ready for your first—or your fifteenth—timeshare vacation.

Know Before You Go

  • Do I have my go-to recipes?

It’s fun, and often more economical, to make at least some of your meals in your timeshare kitchen. Make sure you bring the recipes you need—whether it’s a simple pasta dish, your go-to salad dressing, or a marinade for grilling steaks. Or find a new one to try!

  • What cooking utensils will be in the kitchen?

Most kitchens come stocked with pots and pans, dishes, glasses, and utensils. There’s usually a toaster, blender, and a coffeemaker. Many resorts also offer a grill outside for your use. Check with your resort ahead of time for specifics.

  • Does the resort have a gift shop?

Many resorts have on-site stores that sell the basic essentials. Beyond this, resort desk managers will be able to direct you to nearby markets, pharmacies, and other shops.

  • Are restaurant directories provided?

Most resorts provide listings of local restaurants for both dining in and carry-out options for the nights you don’t want to cook.
